Pillars

These "pillars" or becaons guide our organization and help us provide the best possible transformative experience. They help us identify our strengths and weaknesses, and they help us be open to areas we can improve. We are constantly working to make our organization better, and we appreciate the role that our pillars play in helping us achieve that goal.

The Golden Rule

It is commonly understood that many different religions and belief systems advocate for treating others with kindness and respect. This is because, ultimately, we all hope to receive the same treatment in return. We should all aspire to live by this standard.

"Reciprocity. That which you do not desire, do not do to others." ~ Confucius

Service Above Self

Remember to put the needs of others before your own. Be interested, not interesting.  If a person needs help, go above and beyond to give it. Don't do it for the Facebook post, do it because we all deserve basic needs.  Show them you care by offering food, shelter, water, or simply your time. Serve them with a servant's heart.

We All are Human

We should all strive to treat others fairly and without discrimination, regardless of their skin color, religion, height, weight, gender, or orientation. We have more in common than we realize, and we should respect each other. Namaste.

Believe in Something Bigger than Yourself

When you're driven by a purpose that's bigger than yourself, you're able to achieve great things. You'll work harder and push yourself further. You'll be more resilient and proud of what you're doing with your life. Trust that your efforts are connected to something bigger and watch as your goals start to become reality.

Make Actions, Not Excuses

If you have a vision, you are capable of taking the necessary steps to make it a reality. Keep going, even if you experience failures along the way. Remember that failure is part of the process. Keep failing, and failing, until you find that one single way to succeed.

“Our virtues and our failings are inseparable, like force and matter. When they separate, man is no more.” – Nikola Tesla

Open Your Mind to New Possibilities

When you're ready to make a change, go all in and commit to it. Free your mind and let your creativity flow. Say yes to new experiences and learning new things. Be open to different perspectives and ways of thinking. Solve problems in new and innovative ways. Get outside your comfort zone and try something new. You never know what you might achieve.

The Definition of Insanity

As Albert Einstein famously said, you can't expect to get different results if you keep doing the same thing. If you've tried something and it's not working, trust your instincts and try something different. Sometimes, all it takes is a fresh perspective to find a solution.

Be Disciplined

It's important to have a set routine that you can follow every day. This will help you stay on track and be more productive. Wash, rinse, and repeat. Get up. Make your bed. Have some coffee. Study. Do it the same every day. Set yourself up for success by building habits that foster your creativity and ability to execute your vision.

Don't Talk About it - Be About it

Discussion is valuable when planning, but it should always be directed toward a specific goal.  Having a bias towards starting is paramount. Time is a precious commodity, so make sure that conversations are productive and worthwhile. Pay attention to what is being said. Be present in conversations, both physically and mentally. Give your full attention to the speaker. Remember that when you are speaking, the people around you should be treated as if they are doing the same.

Take the Next Step

Starting anything can seem like a daunting task, but once you're on your way, it becomes easier to see the path ahead and the steps become more clear.  Sometimes we just need a little push to get started. This push can come in the form of motivation, inspiration, or even just a small amount of encouragement. Once we have that push...take that first step, and then the next, and you'll be on your way to accomplishing great things.
